Finally got the visa grant today, after almost six months from the day we submitted my skills assessment docs.
My application took longer than expected because my partner and I had a total of 6 PCC's to submit:
Philippines - applied in person at QC Hall, waiting in line was not so bad because I did the online application, took one week to receive kase may 'Hit', sounds weird to say this but this was the cheapest clearance and took the least amount of time before receiving it
Singapore - took about three weeks, very straightforward, applied in person which was no problem since we're both in Singapore
US - sent via DHL, took about six weeks, payment by CC
UK - sent via DHL, took one month, payment by bank draft
Cambodia - This is what delayed us. After researching, we found out it is not possible to get it from abroad and if you're no longer a resident. My partner even flew back there for a few days but he wasn't able to get it. In the end, we had to request the CO to waive it after submitting a bunch of documents to prove all attempts to obtain the PCC. Waiver was issued almost after two weeks.
Because of all the PCC's, we communicated with 5 different CO's. Initially we were under Team 7, but our visa was granted by Team 23.
But overall, six months is still not bad!
Malaki ang pasasalamat ko sa forum na ito. Sa mga batchmates na naghihintay pa, malapit na rin yan!
Now, time to update my resume π
