    @airpiquiray
    sa sat magsisimba kami, medyo madaming pinoy akong nakikita at nakakausap dun. Magtatanung ako baka may alam sila, mahirap kasi yung sa online kailangan madaming AU ID para makuha yung house e new migrants nga tayo. Pero kung may job offer pwede yun isama sa papers pag magrerent.

    @vherong

    Hi all, glad that there is finally a thread for Adelaidians here.

    Dyan din namin plan mag-apply for State Sponorship, wait lang kami result ng AIM assessment ni hubby and then lodge na namin application sa Adelaide.

    How's life there? Ive read na although cheaper and COL, medyo mataas ang kanilang unemployment rate. Is this true?

  • Thanks God I bumped into this site. I just arrived here in Adelaide 2 days ago holding state sponsored visa - ICT professional. It's kinda weird, I cant find a single filipino here. Glad that theres WWW and pinoyau where i can virtually feel you guys. Thankful pa rin ako kasi may forum na ganito. Anyone in adelaide? im single, currently exploring the city using free bus, free trams. Been to the museums, rundle malls, and central market, whew! ang lungkot dito huhuhu, san ba ang tambayan ng mga pinoy dito? im staying at backpacker for the time being while looking for a long-term accommodation in the process.

    Any vacant position job na pwedeng applyan aside from online? QA Analyst, Software Tester, Systems Analyst or tech support, or any odd jobs like waitering or cleaning para maka-survive. May budget naman ako for 2 months pero since sobrang mahal dito ng commodities, nakakahinayang gumastos ng walang work.

    Ifyou could refer me to the pinoy network here in adelaide, it's greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    tanong naman po sa mga nakakuha ng SS sa SA, how long did it take them to approve your application. Medyo kinakabahan kasi ako sa timeframe namin, last month kami nag-lodge application for skill assessment, sabi ng agent mga 60 days minimum daw bago makuha result from AIM, kung magkagayon by Mid May pa namin makukuha (the earliest) ang result... baka di kami umabot sa ng before July 2012.

    @baronann range from 2 weeks to 1 month in my experience. Yung 176 SS ko kasi na approve within 2 weeks but ngexpire then I apply again but this time 475 na, took me 1month since madami na din ngsubmit during that time. Kakabukas lang kasi ulit ng SA nung ngapply ako ng 176.

    Hello! I am Tdy from La Union, Phil.

    I am planning to undergo a bridging program for nurses (probably first quarter next year) in William Light Institute (http://wli.sa.edu.au/welcome) at Pulteney Street.

    I am eyeing at Princeton Migration Services (http://www.princetonvisa.com/australia-immigration.html) to help me with the processing.

    I am kinda worried regarding accommodations while I am undergoing the course. I will be going to Australia alone and nobody might be there to assist me in finding for board and lodging services.

    Any suggestions? Anyone with experience with Princeton Migration and William Light Institute?

    Thanks.

Very in demand dito ang nurses, sigurado after bridging course mo, hired ka kaagad.

    hi @tdy

    Sorry, out of topic. Just want to ask how much is the bridging course in SA? Is it 10K-11K AUD?

    Also, may I also ask if you have heard about Phil Management back there in the Philippines? Nagssponsor kasi sila ng nurses by giving loans to the nurses to take the bridging course here. I wonder if they are legit and how high is their success rate in having the nurses land a job.

    By the way, gusto ko sana malaman since my wife is a nurse and we are currently here in Sydney. Since masyado mahal yung bridging course, she is planning to get AIN certification (about 2K AUD for 6 months) instead. Saka na lang sya magprogress to RN after some experience and further certifications.

    Salamat

    pwede naman yatang mag-care giver ang mga nurses sa Oz kahit walang Aphra Registration. Open kasi ang CARER or caregiver kahit saang states.
