Hi Everyone! How is the work-life balance in Oz? is it the same in NZ where a 4 week vacation leave is mandated for employees?

@kidrock Iba kasi culture talaga dun saka laws. Alam ko a child can even file a lawsuit against their parents if at anytime sinaktan sila. Not unlike here, meron tayong "spare the rod, spoil the child". :D

Exciting din kaya mag part time job.

Pero most of the time, uwian na kagad pagdating ng 5pm. When I was training there, ako lang ang laging naiiwan sa office. Hahaha! Bayani talaga ng 3rd world. Pero after a month, 5pm din umaalis na ko! wahehe. :p

I'm in the IT field and would somehow like to take a break and try some other jobs. I won't mind being a filler (taga-ayos ng mga delata sa groceries) as I've been there before for a short period of time.

As getting a job in OZ may not be that instant when I get there, I plan to get at least two part-time jobs in replacement for one permanent one. I was assuming in this scenario, I get to:
    - get a job faster (assuming more part time jobs are available & easier to apply)
    - try some other jobs that could somehow refreshen my point of view in IT work
    - have more time in adjusting in the new country
    - for some reason get more pay in several small jobs

All of these, I am very welcome for corrections is needed.

@RClem, opo sir maraming gumagawa nang ganyan...pero kadalasan isang permanent at isang part time...Kadalasan kasi holiday season lang masipag maghire ng temp dun so kung tag-gipit sa Australia, mahirap makahanap ng part time hehe

@sheep, subukan mo site na to:

kapag bigas nasa 3.5 dollar 1 kilos long grain or jasmin rice ang binibili ko. Ang sabon naman may nabibili 10 pcs 2 to 3 dollar. kapag nale-late ako nagta-taxi ako eto $16 sa 5.4 kilometer kapag midnight hanggang madaling araw mas mahal. dipende kasi sa state yan eh.

    http://www.canberracabs.com.au/taxi-fare.php

sa meal kumpleto dito may india, asian, european food mga $12 to $14 include bottle water. mas mura mga fastfood like mcdo mga $8 to $10 in value meal.
